Fr. McManus, SJ grew up on a farm in Northern Ireland. He studied philosophy in Dublin, theology in Colombia, and later was school chaplain in the Jesuit school in Galway for some years before walking the Camino de Santiago in 2011 and writing a book, Redemption Road, in memory of his brother.

Fr. Brendan McManus, SJ will share the story of his own journey through grief and his experience of what Ignatian wisdom has to teach us about finding God on the trails of life. He will speak on how the challenging process of letting go of control helps us find spiritual freedom. Also, we will learn the power of symbols, rituals and pilgrimage on our journeys through grief.
